CACAO HUSK TEA
We really love the idea of using everything that cacao gives us. Not only the nibs within the beans where the paste is made of, but also the husk of the beans can be used.
Even the husk has slightly mood-boosting functions and is high in antioxidants.
You find traces of several minerals inside the husks, like magnesium, calcium, copper, zinc, and potassium. And theobromine provides a light energy boost, improves brain function, increases relaxation in your body, and increases your immune system.
Where is the cacao husk tea from?
The cacao husk tea is made from Cacao beans, from a local Balinese farm cooperative, where 28 Balinese families are harvesting the cacao with the highest intentions and love.
By buying our Cacamo Cacao husk tea, you are also supporting them financially.
Our teas husks are organically produced without any chemicals, GMO, or artificial flavor. They are completely vegan, coffin-free, and gluten-free.
With the husk of the cacao beans, you can make some really nice tea. With all the goodness and taste of cacao, but lighter to drink.
How to use it?
1. Start by boiling some water.
2. Add about 2 teaspoons of the cacao husk for 1 cup (250ml).
3. You can use a tea strainer, teabag or put them directly in your cup.
4. Pour the boiling water into your cup with the husk and let it steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
Or even on a hot summer day, you can make ice tea from it.
Nice to know: After using the husk for your tea, you can use it to make compost for your plants/garden.
Store in a cool and dry place away from direct heat and sunlight.
